Selection appointment information

As part of our recruitment process, applicants may be required to undertake a leveling exercise, written assessment, or provide evidence of a portfolio to support their application.

If this will be required, we will send further communication on what to do and how to upload this.
Examples of what may be required from each department can be found below.

Access to Social Sciences (SWAP)

As part of our recruitment process, we aim to match potential learners to the most appropriate course for their progression and learning needs.

These online exercises are designed for students applying for SWAP courses to give us an idea of your current abilities in English and Maths and your potential in these fields.

Please complete both exercises within 7 days. Please give this exercise about an hour of your time and try to find some quiet space so you can concentrate on it.

English exercise

Maths exercise

These exercises will be considered with your application, a reference (if sought) and an interview, meaning we are taking a holistic approach to your application rather than weighting one aspect.
Your responses are collected automatically, so you do not need to do anything to 'return' your exercise.

Thank you for the time and effort you invested.

If you have any queries, please email Shelley Brown at shelley.brown@dundeeandangus.ac.uk.
