Collaborating students offer practical wellbeing sessions.

Working together, Dundee and Angus College students and staff supplied practical wellbeing sessions at staff development day, gaining experience, and raising awareness of wellbeing.

On Tuesday 26th September, our students and staff had the opportunity to attend GTC Scotland for their staff wellbeing day.

GTC Scotland is the teaching profession’s independent registration and regulation body and it was a real honour to support their day.

A mixture of students and staff from different sectors attended the event at Clerwood House, Edinburgh including, sport & fitness, performing arts and beauty. Carefully planned, our students and staff took participants through a variety of sessions. These included full body relaxation, nutrition, body moves, Indian head massage, foam rolling and much more.

Christine Calder, Academic Development Lead said: “It was a privilege to be part of the General Teaching Council for Scotland’s development day which had a focus on wellbeing. It gave our staff and our amazing students a fantastic opportunity to take their learning into a work environment to help raise awareness about wellbeing.”
