Build a solid foundation for your future

Still at school but want to gain some real-life work experience? A Foundation Apprenticeship could help you get a head start in your career.

This is a work-based learning opportunity for secondary school pupils in S5 and S6. You spend time out of school at college or with a local employer, and complete the Foundation Apprenticeship alongside your other subjects like National 5s and Highers.

The qualification takes two years to complete and is linked to one of six key sectors of the Scottish economy, so you are getting industry experience which will help kick-start a successful career in your chosen field.

Dundee and Angus College are offering ten Foundation Apprenticeship programmes, starting in 2018 summer term:

Accounting Skills
Business Skills
Civil Engineering
Creative and Digital Media
Engineering Technician
Hardware System Support
Social Services Children and Young People
Social Services & Healthcare
Scientific Technologies
Software Development
