Modern Apprenticeship in Life Sciences and Related Science Industries (SCQF Level 6)

Course Content

This Modern Apprenticeship comprises three elements; an SVQ, an NPA in Practical Science and certification of Core Skills. The SVQ is based on National Standards and comprises two mandatory units: Maintain Health and Safety Procedures in Life Sciences and Related Industries; and Maintain Effective and Efficient Working Relationships in Life Sciences and Related Industries. Entry Requirements

Applicants should be employed in a technical role within a laboratory setting. Minimum of two National 5 qualifications, one of which must be in a science subject. Other qualifications and work-based experience will be considered.

Method of Assessment

All assessments take place in the workplace. Learners will attend college to complete the NPA qualification and Core Skills.

Progression to SVQ Level 3.
