The artist’s summer holidays comprised a trip to California in west, where one of his paintings, ‘Teabreak’ won an award at the San Diego Watercolour Society’s 36th annual international exhibition, and Moscow in the east where, wearing his lecturing hat, Angus delivered a workshop in his craft.

While in California Angus also had ‘Locked and Loaded II’ accepted for an exhibition in San Pedro, Los Angeles.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the world, another two of the artist’s works are being exhibited in two separate exhibitions in China, one in the third Silk Road International Exhibition at Xian, where the world-famous Terracotta Army can be viewed and the other, a prize-winning work, is touring the country

“I won bronze award in the Shenzen International Watercolour exhibition and competition a couple of years ago and the painting, ‘Chicken Wire’ is now part of a touring exhibition going on show all over China,” explained the artist.

And while his unique style as a watercolour artist is finding favour around the globe, the lecturer’s teaching skills are in high demand – the Moscow trip being his fourth visit to the Russian Capital.

“I always enjoy these trips and am looking forward to updating and refining a workshop to take to California as the San Diego Watercolour Society have invited me to teach there too.”

If that wasn’t a busy enough schedule for the holidays Angus also completed two paintings which are about to be sent to Thailand for exhibitions, the lecture has been invited to take part in the 2016 Taiwan World Watercolour Competition & Exhibition and the World Master of Watercolour Exhibition 2016, in Bangkok.
