Tatiana Zorina accepts a very special pizza delivery from Steve Robson.

Steve Robson, operations manager for Domino’s in both Arbroath and Dundee, spotted a real opportunity to help topple one barrier to education – poverty – when he was asked to make a donation to be represented at the college Freshers event.

When asked for just £5 Steve offered £500, more than pipping all the other donations put together!

“We asked each business represented at our Freshers’ events for a donation and thanks mainly to Steve’s generosity we now have £715 for our foodbank fund – more than we spent last year,” explained Tatiana Zorina, learner engagement officer.

“We are grateful to all the organisations who supported the Freshers events.

“D&A College Foodbank is a vital resource for students in financial crisis who might otherwise drop out of college.

“Referred students are given breakfast or lunch vouchers and food parcels made up of healthy foodstuffs.”
