Easely does it… course leader in art, Ian Ritchie lecturer and print-maker Gillian Robertson are both looking forward to taking part in D&A Collective.

D&A Collective is an exhibition of works by total of 20 members of art and design staff.

As many as 40 works are on show at Orchar Fine Art, in Dundee’s Commercial Street from Saturday, October 22 – Saturday, November 12.

The exhibition is the brainchild of Ian Ritchie, course leader art, at D&A College.

“We had a successful exhibition once before in town and we all agreed it was something we should do again,” said Ian.

“That proved more difficult to arrange, however, with various people having other commitments so it kept being put off until this year when we finally bit the bullet and got down to creating some art.”

And the result offers something from everyone – paintings in oil, watercolour, and mixed media, photography, print making, digital illustration, sculpture, even jewellery and ceramics.

“I was really pleased to see everyone coming on board and creating something new for this exhibition,” said Ian.

“We are lucky to have so much talent in the art and design team at both Gardyne and Arbroath Campuses, many of whom have exhibited widely across the UK and even beyond.”

The gallery is open Tuesday-Saturday 10am-5.30pm.
