Brushing up on hairdressing skills

Release Date: 24 April 2017

A group of 18 hairdressing students were hard at work creating elaborate looks at D&A College Kingsway Campus.

From 60s chic to rock chick with native/tribal in between, hairdressing students created a range of exotic looks as part of their VTCT course.

The group are one of three enrolled on the VTCT level 2 programme, a new qualification, introduced at college this academic year.

Part of the course includes ‘creating an image based on a theme’ designed to develop creative skills using both hairdressing and beauty techniques.

The students had to research media images plan and develop ideas, and create mood boards before working on the finished image.

Classmates act as models for each other.
