Course Content

Our exceptional facilities and experienced lecturers ensure a high standard of training that will equip you with the skills and practical experience needed to succeed in the industry.

You'll work with professional products from companies like Wella/Sebastian on real paying clients, enhancing your knowledge and employability.

This course includes practical classes and project work, which will be delivered on campus 2-3 days per week from 9 am to 5 pm, with potential evening classes from 4:30 pm to 8:00 pm.

Entry Requirements

Completion of VTCT Level 2 Diploma in Women's Hairdressing (or equivalent) and relevant industry experience. You may be invited to a skills workshop to show your skill level and asked to provide a good reference. For applicants for whom English is not their first language, ESOL at SCQF level 5 is required as excellent communication skills are needed.

All applicants should be 16 years or older before the start of the course.

Method of Assessment

You will be observed carrying out services on clients in our D&A Hair and Beauty school. You will be required to do research and complete assignments and e-learning modules to gain the knowledge needed to pass this course. You will have several online exams and must self-study regularly throughout the academic year to help achieve exam success. 

Future Prospects

To gain employment as a Hairdresser in various industry settings, such as working with manufacturers, Education and Salon Management/Apprentice Training.
