PDA Workplace Assessment Using Direct and Indirect Methods
Course Content
This course provides workplace assessors with the knowledge and skills to: successfully assess a learner's performance through observation and offer feedback on these decisions in line with the organisational and awarding body requirements; assessment preparation and planning to meet the needs of learners and the environment; judging evidence against agreed standards to make assessment decisions; providing feedback and support on your assessment decisions; contributing to the internal quality assurance process.
Entry Requirements
No formal qualifications required to undertake this qualification. Applicants should be employed in a suitable job role with access to a minimum of two learners undertaking an appropriate award. Applicants must meet the occupational competence requirements of the qualification that they wish to assess and also be working in a training/assessing environment with a minimum of two learners working towards an S/NVQ qualification or a national unit. This qualification can be started at any point in the academic year.
Method of Assessment
Assessment will be conducted through the production of a portfolio cataloguing the learner's work.
Future Prospects
There are opportunities for assessors to operate within a variety of environments where S/NVQ programmes are provided.
