The Civil Engineering Contractors Association (CECA) Scotland Academy offers a robust training-to-employment programme, bridging the gap from college to industry careers.

In just 18 weeks, you’ll complete an outdoor learning course, earning an NPA in Construction Operations at SCQF Level 5. Employers are involved throughout, providing a guaranteed interview and real job prospects upon completion.

This hands-on course prepares you for entry-level roles in civil engineering, focusing on groundworks such as excavation, drainage, curbing, and cementing. Training in a simulated site environment ensures you gain team skills and vital health and safety knowledge, paving the way for work on critical projects like roads, schools, and energy networks.

Entry Requirements

A minimum of 2 National 5s or above.
