Study Options

  • In-Person Classes (Recommended): Weekly evening classes at our Gardyne Campus (6-9 pm). Direct support from tutors, peer collaboration and a structured environment
  • Distance Learning: Independent study with online materials. Requires strong self-discipline and motivation, with mandatory campus attendance for assessments.

  • 2-3 hours of weekly independent study, more for distance learners.

Entry Requirements

A pass at National 5 Mathematics at grade A or B (or equivalent) is expected. Applicants with a grade C may still be considered following a successful diagnostic test and/or interview.

Why Choose In-Person Learning?

Opting for in-person classes provides:

  • Direct Support: Immediate access to tutors who can address questions and provide personalised advice.
  • Improved Outcomes: A structured environment helps you stay motivated and achieve your best results.

Method of Assessment

Learners must undertake a prelim on campus (usually in February) and must achieve a satisfactory mark to sit the final exam.

Future Prospects

A pass in Higher Mathematics can open up many opportunities for learners; it is often an essential pre-requisite for entry to university in many areas.
