HNC Acting and Performance

Course Content

This hugely popular practical and engaging course aims to develop professional skills in acting, devising and theatre making. The course includes Units in: Acting; Voice; Movement; Creating Devised Theatre and Shakespeare. You will have the opportunity to perform a full-length text based production. Alongside this, you will participate in a unique devised ensemble piece, creating work in a collaborative and supportive environment.  Additional opportunities through the year include: theatre trips and collaborative projects across the performing arts, as well as visits from industry professionals. 

Entry Requirements

NC Acting and Theatre Performance or equivalent qualification would be advantageous but not essential, as would passes in 2 Highers including English and Drama. Selection is through participation in a recruitment workshop. 

Method of Assessment

Combination of practical classwork, performance and written assignments. 

Future Prospects

Progression to the HND Acting and Performance course or further study at drama school or university.
