Diploma in Digital Technology: IT Support
Course Content
This work-based course allows you to gain an industry-recognised qualification and develop the skills required to become a professional in an IT support environment. This qualification will help you deal with internal and external stakeholders, apply technical knowledge and skills across a range of work situations and demonstrate an understanding of the requirements of your own role and the goals of your organisation.
It can also help employers develop their workforce by training new staff and upskilling existing employees by learning on the job. Some of the key subjects include applying problem-solving approaches, supporting organisational process delivery and supporting digital technology servicing requests.
Entry Requirements
Discussed with the employer or Course Leader. Consideration will be given individually to those with relevant experience. Entry to this course is at any point during the year.
Method of Assessment
Learners are assessed in the workplace. Skills classes are available at Gardyne Campus. College attendance is optional and can be discussed.
Future Prospects
This course can lead to Higher National (HN) courses in Computing, employment promotion and a Graduate Apprenticeship at university.
