Gateway to College (Flexi)
Course Content
This is a flexible course offering between 1 and 15 hours of college attendance tailored to suit the needs of the learner. Units may be selected that best suit learner needs and interests which may include Communication; Numeracy; ICT; Community Project; Awareness of Drugs and Alcohol; Equality and Diversity; Digital and Social Impact. This course is suitable for those requiring support to succeed at college but cannot commit to a full-time course. A key strength of the course is the partnership working with schools where Flexi Gateway may form part of a school link pupil's timetable. This course is also Ideal for adults who wish to upskill and develop confidence on a part-time basis.
Entry Requirements
No formal entry requirements for this course although selection is subject to the applicant's fee waiver eligibility (such as school link, benefits etc.). Applicants will attend an interview as part of the selection process.
Method of Assessment
Continuous assessment throughout the year and end of unit tests/assessment.
Future Prospects
Successful learners may have the opportunity to progress onto a full-time college course.
