Applying Hair Extensions at Level 3
Course Content
This unit is about creating a variety of styles using various techniques for attaching hair extensions. You will learn how to assess your clients’ hair by identifying influencing factors through consultation techniques. This will enable you to identify the correct products, hair attachments and methods of attaching the added hair, and will ensure that you follow health and safety. You must also demonstrate that you can work on varying lengths of hair and provide your client with good aftercare advice. This course will allow you to become VTCT qualified in Tape and Weave extensions working on Human and Artificial Hair. You will be provided with a kit that allows you to complete the course.
Entry Requirements
You must hold a minimum of level 2 Hairdressing qualification or equivalent and or sufficient industry experience.
Method of Assessment
Assessed though direct observation with E learning for gathering evidence for knowledge required.
Future Prospects
You may progress within your industry as a hairdresser offering this service.
