HTR1 Gas Fires and Wall Heaters

Course Content

This course will test the gas safety competencies of a candidate, by reviewing their understanding of the practical and theoretical aspects of working with gas fires.

Areas of study include:

  • Installation and maintenance of gas fires and heaters
  • Permitted installation location for appliances
  • Flue requirements
  • Commissioning of fires
  • Identifying unsafe situations

Entry Requirements

You must hold a Domestic Core Gas Safety Certificate.

Method of Assessment

Following the course, candidates will complete a BPEC written open book assessment and practical assessment.

Future Prospects

Our BPEC approved training centre offers candidates an opportunity to gain industry approved skills in installation, exchange, disconnection, service and repair of domestic gas appliances.
