CIH Level 2 Certificate in Housing Practice
Course Content
A 12-week introductory vocational qualification for the housing sector. This qualification aims to give learners an understanding of housing and provide them with skills and knowledge to participate in housing-related activities.
The course comprises four mandatory units: Housing Provision and Housing Organisations; Customer Service in Housing; Professional Development in Housing; and Asset, Repairs and Maintenance.
CIH membership is available at an additional cost for the duration of the course.
This course has 2 intakes per session, in August and January.
Entry Requirements
This course is particularly suitable for applicants who are new to the housing sector or work in a frontline position, individuals not currently working in housing but considering a frontline housing position as a career option or tenants and residents who wish to improve their general awareness of housing issues and gain an initial qualification in housing.
Method of Assessment
Learners will have access to online course materials, together with online tutorials scheduled for each module and tutor support throughout the course.
Future Prospects
This course will prepare learners for future study. On successful completion, learners can progress to CIH Level 3 Certificate in Housing Practice.
