The Procurement Reform (Scotland) Act 2014 (PRSA) came into force on 18 April 2016 and increases the legislative requirements on public sector bodies. This includes lowering the thresholds for a compliant tender process for supplies and services to £50,000 aggregated across the College and, if recurring spend, this is spread over a 4 year period and equates to £12,500 per annum. All regulated procurements must be advertised on Public Contracts Scotland (PCS) to open up opportunities to as wide a market as possible. The College also utilise PCS for lower value procurements using the Quick Quote functionality.
