Information for Suppliers

Supplier Guidance
Suppliers interested in working with the College, or indeed wider Scottish public sector, should register with Public Contracts Scotland (PCS), complete a supplier profile with as much relevant information as possible and ensure you register for alerts in all the areas that are of interest to your company. A properly completed supplier profile will allow buyers such as the College to search for suitable companies that can meet our requirement and using the Quick Quote function, allows buyers to invite companies to quote for below regulated expenditure levels (£50,000 for supplies and services).

The Scottish Government has set a target of 40% of influenceable public sector spend going through collaborative framework agreements. As such suppliers should review the buyer profiles of the main Scottish Centres of Procurement Expertise: APUC, Scotland Excel, NHS National Procurement and Scottish Procurement. Due to the volume of information on these sites the College have not replicated the majority on its own website.

Depending on how each framework agreement has been structured, there may be requirements that are outwith a Small and Medium sized Enterprises (SME) capability. An option around this is to form a consortium with likeminded companies to improve your tender offering and chances of success. Alternatively you can work with larger companies and get business via the subcontracting route. More information can be found at Supplier Development Programme.

Dundee and Angus College will endeavour to ensure that small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) have fair and equal access to all contracting activity over £50,000.

Dundee and Angus College are reviewing its contracted supplier’s status and rationalising its supply base in order to identify our key providers, reduce duplication of effort and ensure best value is achieved compliantly. Any suppliers who have a valid contract with Dundee and Angus College, or its predecessor institutions Dundee College and Angus College, that is not listed in the contracts register should send a copy to to ensure it is listed in our contracts register and so your company is not removed from our finance systems.

Dundee and Angus College have signed up to the Suppliers’ Charter.

Other Useful Procurement Information
The College issues Purchase Orders to inform suppliers of our requirements and serves as authorisation for them to proceed. Under no circumstances should any goods, services or works be provided unless you are in receipt of an official Purchase Order unless an alternative mechanism has been agreed.
