Festive Celebrations at Our Arbroath Campus
On December 13th, the Taste Restaurant at our Arbroath Campus was transformed into a festive wonderland for a Christmas Fayre, organised and run by the students of the Moving Forward B programme, and supported by the Senior Phase Hospitality students.
The event was a true community effort with various departments and external businesses coming together to support the students in organising the Fayre.
The Hospitality & Professional Cookery students provided delicious cakes and hot drinks, while other departments across the College, such as Art, Digital Resources, and Construction teams helped to create beautiful, handcrafted Christmas gifts and decorations.
In addition to the crafts and snacks, guests enjoyed a variety of fun activities, including a raffle and guessing game with fantastic prizes. The event was further supported by donations from local businesses such as Haus Studio Dundee, Skin by Shannon and Tesco, making this a project of true community spirit.
We are proud of our students and staff for their hard work and dedication in making this Christmas Fayre a huge success. More than £1000 was raised for MacMillan and another local charity which will be chosen by the students themselves.
On December 17th, the festive celebrations continued with Raymond’s Festive Frolic. This event focused on providing a relaxing and creative space for staff and students to unwind ahead of the holidays. With sweet treats and hot drinks prepared by our Hospitality students and a crafting table for creating festive cards and decorations, the Frolic was a cheerful way to bring people together and embrace the holiday spirit.
The cross-departmental collaboration, as well as the generosity of staff and students from our Arbroath Campus, was overwhelming.
Special thanks from Alex Brough, Lesley Feighan, and Raymond Uphill-Wood to all students, staff and guests who contributed to these fantastic events.
