Higher Maths
Course Content
This course offers you the flexibility to choose your preferred method of study. You can attend on-campus classes once a week from 6 pm to 9 pm or study remotely as a distance learner.
Regardless of your chosen study method, you will have access to all course materials, and everyone will receive weekly progress check tests. However, you'll need to be on campus for unit assessments and prelims.
The course covers various topics, including calculus, circle theory, exponential functions, and trigonometry.
Entry Requirements
- National 5 Mathematics at Grade A or B
- Entry to the course may also be subject to the completion of a diagnostic test
Method of Assessment
Three closed book unit tests over the course of the year and a prelim that will take place in February. Learners must achieve a satisfactory mark in the prelim to sit the final exam.
Future Prospects
A pass in Higher Mathematics can open up many opportunities for learners; it is often an essential pre-requisite for entry to university in many areas.
