Course Content

This course will develop your skills and knowledge, give you insight into the diverse roles within the tourism and events industries and prepare you for employment or progression to HNC Travel and Tourism.


Cabin Crew; Resort Rep; Tour Guiding; Airport Ground Operations; Event Planning & Event Promotion are just some of the topics covered. The course also includes trips to local/regional attractions and events/venues to enhance your learning.

Entry Requirements

Preferably a minimum of two National 5 qualifications, however consideration will also be given to applicants with a good personal statement and National 4 qualifications, or relevant life/work experience.

Applicants should have the desire to work towards a career within the tourism or events industry ,or progress towards HNC in Travel and Tourism.

Method of Assessment

Units will be continually assessed through end of unit assessments or by the completion of projects/course work. No end of course assessment or exam.

Future Prospects

Successful completion of the course and satisfactory reference can lead to progression to HNC in Travel and Tourism or employment within the industry.
