Course Content

This course is suitable for newly qualified therapists through to experienced therapists. The course contains a mixture of theory and practical work, enabling students to carry out gel nail extensions on clients.

The course will cover content such as Health, safety and hygiene, Consultation, Anatomy & physiology. Benefits of the treatment, Nail preparation, Product knowledge, Aftercare, Demonstrations. Within this course you will learn to apply gel overlays, creating extensions using a range of methods. On completion of this 16-week course you will be awarded with a VTCT level 2 qualification in nail enhancements which allows you to practice gel nails professionally to a high standard. 

Entry Requirements

Must have manicure qualification at level 2 or SCQF level 5 equivalent 

Method of Assessment

Assessed through direct observation and one online exam, evidence for knowledge required will also be gathered through assignments.
