Course Content
This course is suited to individuals interested in the subject areas of illustration, graphic design, 2D & 3D animation. Through a variety of engaging projects, you will develop a broad range of skills within research and concept development including the design process using industry standard digital software. Learners develop their creative and technical skills in preparation for HN level study with support from expert staff who will encourage and assist you in the development of your creative process. On completion of the course you will have produced a broad and exciting portfolio within the field of computer art and design.
Entry Requirements
Minimum of 2 relevant Nat 5/equivalent qualifications, preferred English and Art/Design. At interview candidates should bring a portfolio of art and design work such as drawings/designs/photography. Digital portfolio submissions are also accepted. Mature candidates without formal qualifications will be considered on presentation of a portfolio.
Method of Assessment
Continuous internal/external assessment with the focus on portfolio production and submission.
Future Prospects
Successful learners may progress on to one of our HND Computer Arts and Design courses with the choice of either Digital Arts or Animation courses or apply to other HN level Art & Design courses in our department.
