Fast Track to Art & Design

Course Content

This course is aimed at helping aspiring artists to learn a range of new processes and skills to kickstart their creative journey. You will learn a broad range of 2D and 3D Art and Design skills including drawing, printmaking, painting, sculpture, project development skills and design processes. Learners will explore a range of creative disciplines before choosing a subject area in one of our Certificate or HN programmes. This course is a great place to start if you are seeking a future career in the creative industries. On this course you will build a strong portfolio of work to enable you to apply on to your chosen subject area.

Entry Requirements

Minimum of 2 relevant Nat 4/equivalent qualifications, preferred English and Art/Design or suitable experience demonstrated via other qualifications or submission of a portfolio of work. You will also be invited to attend an interview where we will support you in coming to college and starting your creative career.

Method of Assessment

Continuous assessment with the focus on portfolio production and submission.

Future Prospects

Successful learners may progress onto SCQF level 6 courses including Certificate in Contemporary Art and Design, Photography, Interior Design and Computer Art and Design (Illustration, Graphic Design and Animation).
