This course will provide participants with a basic theoretical and practical foundation in current first aid. It offers a level of first aid training for the workplace recommended by the Health and Safety Executive. It includes:

  • Resuscitation
  • Hypoxia
  • Unconsciousness
  • Bleeding
  • Suspected fracture
  • Shock
  • Burns and scalds
  • Communication in an emergency

Entry Requirements

No formal entry requirements.

Method of Assessment

Written, practical and oral.

Future Prospects

Upon successful completion of the course, participants can provide emergency first aid in a workplace, with their qualification being valid for three years.
