SVQ Level 3 Procurement
Course Content
This course provides a solid foundation for anyone looking to build a career in procurement, offering both practical skills and industry recognition. It has been designed in partnership with Skills Development Scotland, SQA, Skills for Logistics, Scottish Government Procurement Team, and CIPS. It is suitable for procurement or related staff in the public, private and voluntary sectors. Learners are assessed in the workplace, conducting a role with evidence compiled using an e-portfolio.
To achieve the qualification, learners must complete 12 units in total: 5 mandatory units and 7 optional units
Entry Requirements
No formal education requirements but must work in industry.
Method of Assessment
The qualification units are based on the candidate’s own role and experience, with continuous work based assessment and ongoing support.
Future Prospects
A learning and development opportunity for staff to achieve an award, with units relating to their own job role and experience. Although an excellent stand-alone qualification, successful candidates may progress to higher level studies or professional qualifications in Supply Chain Management or Procurement related subjects.
