Course Content

The course consists of 12 SQA modules at SCQF level 5, including Maths, Communications, ICT, Computer Aided Draughting, and Health & Safety.

Entry Requirements

Achievement of SVQ Level 2 Engineering Training course or three National 4's in Maths, English and a technical subject. 

Applicants must be employed within a suitable role to undertake this qualification.

Mature applicants without formal qualifications may be considered based on practical experience.

Method of Assessment

Assessments will be carried out within each module. Assessment will be by practical exercises, reports, and closed book tests as appropriate to the outcome.

Future Prospects

This forms the NC requirement of the Modern Apprenticeship.
