NC Acting and Theatre Performance (Acting & Performance)
Course Content
This dynamic and engaging course allows learners to develop their interest in acting, theatre and performance in a highly practical way. Areas of study include: Acting, Voice, Movement, Devising and working with text. Learners have a number of sharing and performance opportunities throughout the course, which provide an excellent grounding in acting and theatre-making. Additional opportunities through the year include: theatre trips and collaborative projects across the performing arts, as well as visits from industry professionals. Learners will develop key skills that are transferable to work in a wide field of theatre and performance settings.
Entry Requirements
No set entry qualifications, selection is through observation of participation in a practical group recruitment workshop. Drama experience preferred but not necessary.
Method of Assessment
Combination of practical classwork, performance and written assignments.
Future Prospects
Learners may go on to further study within the department at HNC or HND level.
