Higher Maths

Course Content

This course develops valuable mathematical skills, including working with vectors, calculus, exponential functions, and advanced trigonometry.


Weekly evening classes at our Gardyne Campus (6-9 pm). Direct support from tutors, peer collaboration and a structured environment.

Entry Requirements

A pass at National 5 Mathematics at grade A or B (or equivalent) is expected. Applicants with a grade C may still be considered following a successful diagnostic test and/or interview.

Method of Assessment

Learners must undertake a prelim (usually in February) and must achieve a satisfactory mark to sit the final exam.

Future Prospects

A pass in Higher Mathematics can open up many opportunities for learners; it is often an essential pre-requisite for entry to university in many areas.
