HND Acting and Performance (Year 2)
Course Content
This highly practical course aims to further develop professional skills in acting, performance and theatre-making. Units include: Acting; Voice; Movement; Audition Technique and Professional Development for Actors. With our ‘Specialisms’ pathway, learners have the option to develop their own areas of interest and can choose: Community Drama; Directing; Devising; Script Writing and Leading a Workshop units. You will have the opportunity to perform two text-based productions. Additional opportunities include: workshops with theatre specialists, theatre trips and collaborative projects across art forms.
Entry Requirements
You require a 15 credit HNC in Acting and Performance to be eligible to apply to the HND Acting and Performance course.
Method of Assessment
Combination of observation of participation in practical classes, rehearsals, performances, group presentations and written assignments.
Future Prospects
Progression to the BA (Hons) Professional Theatre Practice (1 Year Completion Award) degree programme offered at Dundee and Angus College.
