HNC Fashion Business
Course Content
The fashion industry is exciting and always evolving and this course is designed to provide learners with the skills and knowledge required for a career within a fashion business environment. Units studied include: Fashion Merchandising; Business Management; Public Relations; Textile Technology; Retail Buying; Fashion Forecasting; Range Planning.
Learners will also develop their digital skills which will help them present range plans and mood boards. Learners will also help plan and organise fashion events which will allow them to work with our industry partners.
Entry Requirements
Applicants should have an interest in the fashion industry and at least one Higher at Grade C or above, a relevant NQ/NC Award or Certificate Course with at least 12 credits.
Applicants will be invited to attend a recruitment workshop to determine their suitability for the course. Relevant industry/life experience or other qualifications will also be considered.
Method of Assessment
Each unit will be continually assessed through end of unit assessments or by the completion of course work. No end of course assessment or exam.
Future Prospects
On successful completion, learners may gain employment, enhance their careers within a fashion business environment, start their own business or gain entry to a fashion-related degree at universities throughout Scotland.
