Entry Requirements

Two Highers at C grade or above, preferably English, plus experience of working with children or successful completion of a relevant SCQF Level 6 qualification, for example, NC Childhood Practice or Childcare Academy.

Selection is based on written information within the application, qualifications, experience, references, and a written exercise to be completed at your recruitment session.

An acceptable PVG record check is required.

Method of Assessment

Integrated assessments in a variety of formats including reports, graded unit, work experience portfolio and a workplace observation. Your practice is assessed whilst on placement.

Future Prospects

Possible progression to PDA Childhood Practice (SCQF Level 8) or employment at practitioner level. This programme meets the registration requirements for SSSC for Early Years Practitioner.
