HNC Acting and Performance

Course Content

This hugely popular, practical, and engaging course aims to develop professional acting, devising and theatre-making skills. The course includes units in Acting, Voice, Movement, Creating Devised Theatre, and other acting contexts. You will have the opportunity to perform a full-length text-based production. You will also participate in a unique devised ensemble piece, creating work in a collaborative and supportive environment. Additional opportunities throughout the year include theatre trips, collaborative projects across the performing arts, and visits from industry professionals. 

 

Entry Requirements

NC Acting and Theatre Performance or equivalent qualification would be advantageous but not essential.  Alternatively 2 Highers at grade C or above 1 preferably in English or Drama. Selection is through participation in a recruitment workshop. 


Method of Assessment

Combination of practical classwork, performance and written assignments. 

Future Prospects

Progression to the HND Acting and Performance course or further study at drama school or university.
