Course Content
If you are a keen photographer, looking to gain professional skills and knowledge, this is the perfect course for you. It focuses on building your technical, studio and location-based photography skills. You will have access to our specialist photography studios allowing you to develop your creativity in lighting and studio equipment. Our practical and hands-on projects include on-location and studio-based work which underpin key areas of commercial photography. There are dedicated editing suites and industry-standard software so you will learn how to edit and produce your work digitally to help you prepare and develop a professional photographic portfolio.
Entry Requirements
Minimum of 2 relevant Nat 5/equivalent qualifications, preferred English and Art/Design. At interview applicants should bring a portfolio of photography work. Digital portfolios submissions are also accepted. Mature candidates without formal qualifications will be considered on presentation of a portfolio.
Method of Assessment
Continuous internal/external assessment with the focus on portfolio production and submission.
Future Prospects
Successful completion of this programme, including satisfactory reference and attendance, can lead to progression onto our HNC Photography course.
