Motor Vehicle Engineering Entry Level
Course Content
This course covers subjects such as: vehicle mechanical; engine systems; electrical; chassis system (steering, suspension and brakes); vehicle servicing and valeting. There will also be project work including Electric Vehicle /Hybrid vehicle awareness.
You will gain hands-on experience in maintenance and repair in well-equipped classrooms and workshops.
Learners will have the opportunity to undertake a work experience placement.
Essential skills units such as communications and numeracy also form part of the course.
Entry Requirements
Progressing students: applications will be based on previous course outcomes, meeting all progression criteria and personal statements.
New applicants: There are no formal entry requirements, however, all applicants will go through an interview and aptitude test (on campus).
Method of Assessment
Online examinations and progressive written assessments and practical observations.

- Modern Apprenticeships are also available if the learner can secure employment with an appropriate employer.
