Course Content
This course will develop your fashion, business and creative skills preparing you for employment or progression to HNC Fashion Business. The course gives you an insight into the diverse roles within this dynamic and evolving industry.
Subjects include Fashion Forecasting; Fashion Merchandising; Colour; Visual Merchandising; Retail Buying; Store Design; Sustainable Fashion and Textiles Yarns and Fabrics.
Learners will gain hands-on experience by helping to plan fashion events and gain digital and e-commerce skills by helping to run the college's online shop, Tempus.
Entry Requirements
Preferably a minimum of two National 5 qualifications, however consideration will also be given to applicants with a good personal statement and National 4 qualifications or relevant life/work experience. Applicants should have the desire to work towards a career within the Fashion industry or progress towards HNC Fashion Business.
Applicants will be invited to a recruitment workshop to assess their suitability for the course.
Method of Assessment
Units will be continually assessed through end of unit assessments or by the completion of projects/course work. No end of course assessment or exam.
Future Prospects
Successful completion of the course and satisfactory reference can lead to progression to HNC in Fashion Business or employment within the industry.
