Course Content
Kickstart your career in the games industry with our 12-week introductory course, created in partnership with 15 leading games companies.
Learn the fundamentals of Game Design, Media Creation, and Coding through hands-on sessions and industry-led workshops.
Gain practical skills, interview experience, and the confidence to pursue entry-level roles or further study in game development at HNC, HND and degree level.
Entry Requirements
Applicants will take part in a relaxed interview workshop. During the workshop, applicants will have an informal interview and complete tasks that demonstrate their creativity and interest in game development.
As an entry-level course, it is not available to graduates of Computer Games degrees.
Method of Assessment
Continuous assessment is part of the course. Tasks and activities will reflect the development of computer games and will include - game design documentation, art and media creation and writing code.
Future Prospects
This course will lead to:
- A progression course in games development at D&A College, leading to higher study and the potential to apply to a degree.
- Potential for placement or internship with an industry partner (subject to availability with partners).
