Moving Forward
Course Content
This course is designed for young people with additional support needs. It helps learners move on to further education, work, or volunteering.
Learners will be supported to become more independent and to start building skills to manage their future careers and gain real-world work experience.
The timetable builds on Lifeskills and includes essential skills, volunteering, health and wellbeing, independent living, and citizenship.
There may also be opportunities to try full-time vocational courses to help prepare for the next step.
This course is ideal for learners who benefit from a supportive learning environment.
Entry Requirements
There are no specific pre-entry requirements other than a willingness to study and to participate fully as a learner at college but applicants would normally have successfully completed Lifeskills course Year 1. Applicants should be able to work at the required level of study and at times, independently. Some practical subjects may require a level of physical ability and fitness.
