Level 3 Diploma in Personal Training

Course Content

This course equips learners with the knowledge and practical skills to pursue a career in personal training. As a personal trainer, you’ll support clients, either one-to-one or in small groups, in achieving their health and fitness goals.

Personal trainers play a vital role in improving public health by helping more people become active, more often. Developed in partnership with employers, this course reflects the skills and expertise valued across the fitness industry.

Course runs Monday evenings from 6.30-8.30 pm at the Gardyne campus:

24th & 31st Aug, 7th,14th, 21st & 28th Sep.

5th, 19th & 26th Oct.

2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd & 30th Nov.

7th, 14th & 21st Dec.

Entry Requirements

To enrol on this course, learners should hold a relevant Level 2 qualification in gym or fitness instructing.

The course includes practical, physically active elements, so a reasonable level of fitness is important and active participation is required.

Learners should also have basic communication skills at Level 2, as the course involves discussing ideas, presenting, and completing written tasks.
