Course Content
This course is for young people with additional support needs, helping them prepare for further education, work, or volunteering.
The course encourages learners to build independence at their own pace, while developing important career management skills and gaining real-life work-related experience.
The course includes essential skills, volunteering, health and wellbeing, independent living, and citizenship.
Learners may also have opportunities to try out full-time vocational courses, helping them explore their interests and prepare for future study options.
This course is ideal for learners who would benefit from a supportive learning environment.
Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements, but applicants should be willing to learn and fully take part in college life. Most learners will have completed a Year 1 Lifeskills course.
Applicants should be able to work at the course level and, at times, study independently. Some practical subjects may also require a basic level of physical ability and fitness.
