Levelling Up Partnership Fund

Dundee and Angus College is delighted to receive significant investment from the Levelling Up Partnership fund, a UK Government initiative worth £20 million for the Dundee region.

College Principal Simon Hewitt said, “I am delighted to confirm that D&A College has been successful in two recent bids into the Dundee Levelling Up Partnership fund.

“Half a million pounds has been given to support the creation of a state-of-the-art Health and Social Care facility. This Training Facility will help to address the critical shortage of skilled staff in these areas by providing a learning environment that replicates real-life health and social care settings. We hope to begin work on these improvements as soon as we can so that our students can benefit from this investment.

“The second bid, worth £4.5 million, will form the start of our wider campus developments and enhancements. It will enable us to invest in our buildings and facilities, particularly in the areas of green skills and technology. It will support training for students and apprentices in the energy transition and construction sectors, meeting some of the key economic needs of regional and local businesses.

“We welcome this significant investment in the college. It’s recognition that we are best placed to provide the skills that will be needed by the workforce of the future.”
