Dundee and Angus College Celebrates Success at 2025 CDN Awards
Dundee and Angus College is proud to celebrate winning the Skills Development Award and receive a commendation in the Changemakers Award category at the 2025 College Development Network (CDN) Awards.
The CDN Awards, held on Thursday 4 December at the Radisson Blu in Glasgow, shone a spotlight on the outstanding achievements of colleges, staff and students across Scotland. This year’s ceremony was one of the largest to date, bringing together around 300 guests to recognise excellence across the sector.
The College’s winning entry for the Skills Development Award highlighted the innovative Sports Performance Lab @D&A project led by the Sport & Fitness team. This collaborative initiative brought together HNC Sports Coaching students, Level 6 learners and local primary school pupils in an engaging shared learning environment. The project has had an amazing impact - improving attendance, strengthening teamwork, increasing progression applications and helping students to develop key leadership and emotional intelligence skills.
Our Animal Care team also received a well-deserved commendation in the Changemakers Award category. Their dedication to creative, inclusive and student-centred teaching has transformed the learning experience. By fostering supportive environments, building strong partnerships and encouraging cross-college collaboration, the team continues to inspire learners and empower them to grow in confidence, equipping them with far more than qualifications alone.
We’re thrilled to see the hard work of our teams recognised nationally and are so proud of the positive impact they’re making.
