College celebrates return of charity fashion show

On Friday evening, staff and students from across Dundee and Angus College came together for the 2022 Fashion Show in an effort to raise money for Alzheimer Scotland. Aptly titled, ‘Revive’, the event was a welcome return to the catwalk for the students after a two-year pandemic-induced hiatus

Previously an annual fixture in the college calendar, the event was organised by HND Fashion Business students with cross-college support from learners studying subjects such as Events, Hair and Beauty, Hospitality, Performing Arts, Photography and Textiles.

Student models showcased garments supplied by high street retailers from the City’s Overgate Shopping Centre, local independent retailers and local creatives as well as the designs of the College’s own Textiles students. All proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to Alzheimer Scotland – a charity that is close to many of the students’ hearts.

Gill Rough, Curriculum and Quality Leader for Fashion Business, Events and Tourism at Dundee and Angus College, said; “We are delighted that the Fashion Show is back! It has been a fantastic opportunity for students from various courses to work collaboratively and take part in a large-scale event. Our students have gained invaluable experience of working within the fashion industry alongside our industry partners and have raised money for a great cause.”
