A Grand Slam Transformation at Arbroath Lawn Tennis Club!
Dundee and Angus College Construction Crafts students have been back at it making incredible transformations in the community! This time their hard work, dedication and skills saw them renovating Arbroath Lawn Tennis Club.
Our NPA Joinery and Multi Trade students truly went above and beyond - from repairing worn-out timber and sprucing up the grounds, to giving the entire clubhouse a vibrant new look with a fresh coat of paint. The result? A refreshed, welcoming space that the whole community can enjoy.
To celebrate their hard work, the students also joined our Learner and Community Engagement team for a fun and well-deserved afternoon of activities on the courts. It was a brilliant way to mark the end of a rewarding project that combined real-world experience with community spirit.
We had the pleasure of chatting with long-time club member Alistair Duncan, who’s been playing on the courts since 1958. His reaction says it all:
"I've never seen the tennis club look so good since I've been a member!"
This hands-on project is a shining example of how our students are not only building their futures but also making a real difference in the local community.
