D&A College 2025 Graduation

We are delighted to be able to celebrate the success of our advanced-level students from 2024/25 with a Graduation ceremony at the Caird Hall, Dundee on Friday 31 October 2025 at 2:30 pm.

Our formal Graduation ceremony is for students who have successfully completed an advanced course at SCQF level 7 and above (such as an HNC, HND, PDA or SVQ 3) and have left college.

What to expect at Graduation

  • You’ll sit with your classmates in front of the stage.
  • The ceremony kicks off with a welcome from Principal Simon Hewitt.
  • A guest speaker will share some inspiring words.
  • Then, it’s your moment - each student crosses the stage to receive their certificate.
  • The event wraps up with a closing speech from the Students' Association President.

Highlights from 2024

If you would like to attend the 2024/25 Graduation, you need to:

1. Register to attend, and 2. Hire a gown

1. Registration Information

Online registration for graduation has now closed. If you have any queries, please email graduation@dundeeandangus.ac.uk.

Students who have registered need to confirm their attendance and collect their ticket at the Caird Hall between 11:30 am and 1:30 pm on Graduation day.

Guest Tickets

All guests* need a ticket to attend Graduation. Guest tickets are free, and you could request up to 3 guest tickets when you completed your online registration.

Your guest tickets will be available for collection by you or your guests at the registration desks in the Caird Hall on Graduation day.

Additional guest tickets may be available – please get in touch with us after Tuesday 21 October, to request extra tickets.

*Guest tickets are only needed for each seat, so babies/small children don’t need a ticket if they are sitting on someone’s knee.

Live stream

We’ll be live-streaming the event so friends and family can celebrate with you from anywhere in the world! The livestream will be available on this page

2. Gown Hire and Dress Code

This is a formal gowned ceremony; all graduating students must follow the dress code and wear the appropriate gown and hood.

Gown hire costs £34; booked gowns will be available for collection from the Caird Hall between 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm on Thursday 30 October, or between 11:30 am and 1:30 pm on Graduation day.

We suggest graduating students wear a white or light-coloured top (tie is optional) with a dark-coloured skirt or trousers, a dark-coloured dress or suit, or national dress.

Students who are not gowned will not be able to take part in the ceremony.

If you have any questions about your gown hire, please contact Ede & Ravenscroft on 01223 861 854 or their online enquiry form.

Photography

Ede & Ravenscroft will offer official photographs (individual and/or group/family shots) on both Graduation day and the afternoon before.

If you have any questions regarding photography, please contact Ede & Ravenscroft directly on 01223 861 854 or their online enquiry form.

Your guests are welcome to take photographs during the ceremony.

Photographs of groups and individuals will be taken at the ceremony for promotion and publicity. If you don't want your image used for this purpose, please let us know as soon as possible by emailing graduation@dundeeandangus.ac.uk.
