Modern Apprenticeship in Hospitality Supervision & Leadership at SCQF Level 7
Course Content
This Modern Apprenticeship is a national qualification that Skills Development Scotland funds for those aged over 16 in paid employment in the Hospitality industry. Delivery is facilitated at college one day a week in our fully equipped restaurant and bar, where learners are involved in providing a plated dinner service. Over 12 months, learners will develop supervisory skills within the hospitality industry, leading a team to improve customer service and supervising food and drink service. Units include Provide Leadership for your Team, Develop Productive Working Relationships with Colleagues, Contribute to the Control of Resources and Maintain the Health, Hygiene, Safety and Security of the Working Environment.
Entry Requirements
Applicants must be employed in a suitable post within the hospitality sector and hold relevant qualifications at SCQF level 6.
Fully funded apprenticeships are available for those aged 16-19. Apprenticeships for age 19 and above are partially funded (an employer contribution will be required).
Method of Assessment
Ongoing internal observations, portfolio of evidence, paper based and online questions.
Future Prospects
Further study: HNC in Hospitality Operations at SCQF Level 7, Modern Apprenticeship in Management at SCQF Level 8 or PDA in Hospitality Management (Level 8).
