HND Computing: Software Development (Year 2)
Course Content
In Year 2, you'll take your software skills to the next level. Mastering object-orientated programming, mobile app development, and multiplatform web technologies. You'll explore how to design secure, efficient, and scalable systems that work across devices. With a focus on creativity, problem solving, and professional practice, this year prepares you for advanced study or entry into the software industry.

- Object Orientated Design, programming, and software testing
- Multiplatform web development
- Mobile Technologies
- Relational Database Management and Data Security
Entry Requirements
Successful completion of all 15 SQA credits from HND Year 1 Software Development. Subject to interview selection process, plus suitable reference.
Method of Assessment
You will be on campus for 16 hours per week over 3 days.
Each subject has continuous assessment, which may include multiple choice questions, written reports, presentations, development projects, and solving problems with computer programs
Year two has a graded unit long term project that encapsulates all aspects of your two years learning software development.
