Entry Requirements
One Higher at grade C or above or a relevant SCQF level 6. Applicants may be asked to provide a reference. Applicants must have a keen interest and a passion for the hospitality industry. Consideration may be given to those who do not meet the qualification criteria but have relevant experience.
Method of Assessment
Internal continuous assessments using various methods including open-book assessments, closed-book assessments, observations and projects.
Future Prospects
This qualification enables progression to PDA in Hospitality Management (level 8) and other level 8 courses or access to second-year entry point at university. This course also provides an excellent pathway into Food Science, Nutrition and Textiles. It enhances employment opportunities at management level within the hospitality industry.
